With desserts as delectable as ours it simply would not do to have even one mouthful go to waste. Wherever possible we donate surplus desserts to several extremely worthy causes.

We have a long established relationship with the Sacred Heart Mission in St Kilda and have donated thousands of portions of desserts to help feed the hungry and disadvantaged. We have donated desserts to the Variety Children’s Christmas Party, putting a big smile on the faces of disadvantaged and special needs children. We also happily donate our desserts to OzHarvest and Foodbank who rescue food from businesses and deliver it to hundreds of charities across Australia.

We encourage all our staff to give charitably and hold regular morning teas to raise money for various charities that our staff are passionate about. This has seen us raise money for The Cancer Council, Beyond Blue and WIRES, among others. At each of our charity morning teas we ask that any of the fervent bakers among us bring in a dish to share and collect donations on the day which are matched by Exquisine.

Back in 2016 our Packing Room Team Leader suggested that instead of our usual Kris Kringle to mark the end of the year we all donate a gift to the Kmart Wishing Tree Appeal. This tradition has continued through the years and serves as a strong reminder of how fortunate we are to be able to get up and go to work each day – and be able to buy a gift for someone in need.
